You are cordially invited to the Missing Link exhibition:
a group show at Artspace Flipside, on view only during the Dutch Design Week
The Missing Link exhibition explores a view on the gap dividing design and the origins of human image-making. The participating visual artists are in search for connections between the contemporary arts and a broad sense of visual history, whether this is prehistoric imagery, alphabets, cinema or the underbelly of the web.
The works - video, sculpture, drawings, installations, prints - transcend the evanescent term ‘contemporary’. The imagery is deeply nested into the archaic processes of the mind: myth, stories, nature or on the other hand the supernatural.
